Save a Life

At the heart of our organization lies a vital mission: to provide refuge for horses facing abandonment, neglect, or other forms of distress within the community. Through our steadfast commitment to rescue and rehabilitation, these equines are given a second chance to thrive, whether through re-adoption or by joining our therapy herd.

By intertwining the realms of animal welfare and human healing, we cultivate a symbiotic relationship where horses and individuals alike benefit from the transformative influence of Equine Assisted Therapeutic Activities. In doing so, we not only facilitate the recovery of these majestic creatures but also nurture a culture of compassion and restoration within our community.

Saving horses from abuse, neglect, or abandonment.

Horse rescue is a challenging and rewarding undertaking that requires a lot of time, effort, and resources. However, it is also incredibly important to ensure the welfare of horses by promoting responsible horse ownership. By rescuing horses we provide these animals with a second chance at a happy and healthy life. In some cases, they join our therapy herd to facilitate transformative healing via Equine-Assisted Therapeutic Activities.

Rescuing horses is an important and rewarding task that can help provide a second chance for animals that have been neglected, abused, or abandoned. Rescuing horses can be a challenging and rewarding task.
Horse rehabilitation refers to the process of helping horses recover from physical or emotional trauma, neglect, or abuse. This can involve a range of interventions, including medical treatment, behavioral training, and socialization.
Overall, we provide a critical service by rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing lifelong care for horses in need. We also play an important role in educating the public about horse welfare issues.
We are committed to raising public awareness about equine welfare, offering educational programs that highlight the needs of horses and the importance of compassionate care. Through workshops, seminars, and outreach initiatives, we aim to foster a knowledgeable community that advocates for responsible horse ownership and welfare.
Our foundation believes in the power of community involvement to drive positive change for equine welfare. We encourage volunteerism, host community events, and collaborate with local organizations to strengthen the network of support for horses, thereby creating a united front in the mission to improve the lives of these noble animals.
Sustainability is at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our rescue and care efforts do not only address immediate needs but also contribute to the long-term well-being of horses and the environment. We implement eco-friendly practices in our facilities, promote the use of sustainable resources, and advocate for practices that reduce the environmental impact of equine care and management.

We are much more than a horse rescue...

Saving Lives to Save Lives

through facilitating Equine Assisted Therapeutic Activities (EATA).

STEP #1

We intervene to assist horses in distress, which may originate from diverse sources including owner surrenders, law enforcement interventions, and other avenues. The manner in which these majestic beings come under our care is secondary to our actions upon their arrival. We dedicate significant time and financial resources to ensure their comfort and undergo thorough vetting processes to initiate their rehabilitation journey towards renewed health, happiness, and well-being.

STEP #2

As the horses progress in their healing journey from the neglect that led them to us, we are dedicated to conducting comprehensive personality and behavioral evaluations. Upon receiving clearance from a veterinarian indicating their health and soundness, we assess their capabilities and commence any necessary training or adjustments to prepare them for adoption. Our aim is to establish a strong groundwork for these individuals, envisioning them finding exceptional forever homes where they can thrive in a life filled with love and companionship.

STEP #3

Certain horses arrive at our facility who may not be suitable candidates for adoption due to various factors such as physical limitations or disabilities. These circumstances could put them at risk of being rehomed or pose challenges for new owners unprepared to meet their specialized needs. To provide a safe haven for these unique individuals, we allocate space within our Therapy Herd sanctuary. Here, their primary role shifts to aiding humans in healing from trauma through tailored Equine Assisted Therapeutic Activities designed to meet the needs of each individual they work with.

STEP #4

We understand the profound impact horses have on aiding individuals in healing from deep internal trauma. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can arise from various traumatic experiences, and we are committed to collaborating with licensed professionals to offer tailored care to their clients. While we proudly support veterans grappling with PTSD stemming from their military service, we also extend our assistance to individuals from diverse civilian backgrounds whose trauma originates from a range of painful experiences. By integrating our special therapy horses into therapists' customized healing programs, we believe powerful transformations can commence.

Volunteers

At this time, we are not accepting new volunteers, but we deeply appreciate your interest and willingness to help.
